What are the main 7 components of injection mold? The basic structure of the injection mould can be divided into seven parts: molding parts, gating system, guiding mechanism, ejector device, lateral parting and core pulling mechanism, cooling and heating system and exhaust system.
Briefly describe the seven components of injection molds
1. Molded parts
It refers to the parts that constitute the mold cavity, mainly including: punch, die, core, forming rod, forming ring and inserts and other parts.
2. Pouring system
It refers to the plastic flow channel in the mold from the injection molding machine nozzle to the cavity. Ordinary pouring system is composed of main runner, branch runner, gate, cold material hole and so on.

3. Guiding mechanism
In the plastic mold, it mainly has the functions of positioning, guiding and bearing a certain side pressure to ensure the accurate clamping of the movable and fixed molds. The clamping guide mechanism is composed of guide posts, guide sleeves or guide holes (directly opened on the template), and positioning cones.
4. Ejector device
It mainly plays the role of ejecting the parts from the mold, and is composed of ejector rods or ejector tubes or push plates, ejector plates, ejector rod fixing plates, reset rods and pull rods.
5. Lateral parting and core pulling mechanism
Its function is to disengage the lateral punch or draw out the lateral core, which usually includes oblique guide columns, curved pins, oblique guide grooves, wedge blocks, oblique sliders, oblique grooves, gear racks and other parts.
6. Cooling and heating system
Its function is to adjust the temperature of the mold process, which is composed of a cooling system (cooling water holes, cooling water tanks, copper pipes) or a heating system.
7. Exhaust system
Its function is to remove the gas in the cavity, which is mainly composed of exhaust grooves and matching gaps.
WS Injection Mold Factory has more than 15 years of experience in the injection molding industry and the mold industry. In the development of the past few years, it has encountered the most problems: the mold and injection molding personnel seem to be the natural enemies of each other!
Editor will tell you about the importance of quality and production relationship of the injection mould factory!
On the importance of relationship between injection molds quality and production
1. What is the mold used for? Mainly to solve the mass production of injection molded parts. This must be confirmed first, which is also the foundation.
2. What is the basis for opening the mold? That is to say, the drawings are given to the mold engineer to design the mold, and the mold opening is done according to the product drawings.
3. The main dimensions of the product drawings need to be recorded, for example: the length of the shell.
4. The mold industry is the space generated by injection molding products. Its size is the space of the product size plus the shrinkage rate of the plastic material. For example, the length of the mold cavity must be longer than the length of the product. Only after shrinking can it be the same as the actual product size.
5. Injection molding time, temperature, speed, fluidity, and pressure will affect the size of the product more or less.
6. The so-called injection parameters also affect the size. In this case, it is not impossible for us to confirm which injection molded parts are of high quality and which are of low quality?
7. Method: The injection molding master must adjust the machine according to the product size. That is to say, the length should be remembered. At this time, the injection molded parts must be measured. The standard is based on the size.
8. When the size reaches the requirements of the drawing, our injection molding machine should not increase the pressure to solve the so-called “shrinkage” problem, which should be left to the mold to solve.
9. The engineering of the mold department also needs to be confirmed by size. In the end, it is a CNC problem, a drawing problem, or an EDM problem, not a problem with the physical assembly, so go to add glue immediately. It is also necessary to see if there is no problem with the line cavity, whether the injection molding master has tried his best to debug it, otherwise, after adding glue, he will find out why there is a big problem.
10. The mold master needs to adjust the jaw, buckle position, tightness, level difference, etc. frequently. The premise is that the size of the injection molded parts must be measured to ensure that the injection molding master has no unsatisfactory problems before changing the mold.
